Chemical Peels
What is a chemical peel?Chemical peels reduce fine lines, refine pores, treat acne, lessen the appearance of pigmentation while making your skin appear and feel smoother. At Face Focus we have several different kinds of peels in order to treat different skin tones and conditions.
How does a chemical peel work?A chemical peel involves the use of a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. Chemical peels increase cellular turnover which in turn refines the epidermis and treats environmentally damaged, acne prone, sensitive, dry and oily conditions.
What are the different kinds of chemical peel? AHA's TCA's Medium peels can be used to treat a number of skin conditions, but they are most often used to treat the effects of sun damage including brown spots and wrinkles. Sometimes, a series of medium peels is required to achieve the best result.
How many treatments do I need?During your initial consultation, we will discuss your cosmetic goals. To this end, a skin care regimen will be designed to help you improve and maintain healthier looking skin at home. Typically, a series of five or six chemical peels spaced three to four weeks apart is adequate to achieve most cosmetic goals.
